Become apart of a summer-long paid service opportunity for Mason students wanting to learn more about community and anti-racism.
Explore concepts of social justice and community engagement through relationship building, trainings, and workshops to gain experience in a variety of areas. In building relationships with the tools they have gained from this program, students will be able to create social change. Over the summer, students will engage with different materials about social change, leadership, and anti-racism to achieve learning outcomes. Through this critical service opportunity, each Engaged Summer Fellow will be able to better understand issues in the community, social responsibility and their commitment and connection to change.
Like our Civic Fellows Program, our learning outcomes are as follows for our Engaged Summer Fellows:
- Understanding of principles of anti-racism and how it relates to community engagement
- Can name and Identify root causes of injustice with the service partnership in mind
